PLGA 55:45 – Poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) – is a biodegradable and biocompatible copolymer synthesized from D,L-lactide and glycolide in a 55:45 molar ratio. This grade is specially engineered with a glucose-terminated end group, providing enhanced hydrophilicity and optimized peptide–polymer interaction. The glucose termination improves encapsulation efficiency and minimizes burst release, making it ideally suited for Octreotide and other peptide-based long-acting depot formulations.
