Polyester PLGA is a poly lactic acid (PLA) and poly glycolic acid copolymer (PGA). In terms of design and performance, it is the best-defined biomaterial available for drug delivery. In classical stereochemical terms, poly lacticacid contains an asymmetric -carbon, which is typically described as the D or L form, and sometimes as the R and S form, respectively.
